The Bulls Head is a pub with rooms housed in lovely looking building in Old Glossop, one of three pubs set in a triangle separated by only a hundred yards or so… Another Robinsons house with Wizard and Unicorn when we visited, along with Hartley’s Cumbria way. Nothing really to complain about; my only comment would be that the pub feels more like a pub ran by a brewery who have staffed the place, rather than the traditional caring landlord.. Go in the Queens arms down the road to see what I mean... If you fancy a pint, don’t let this put you off... This is only a minor comment on what was a nice enough pub. Friendly attractive Robbie's pub; beer was first one pulled that evening so average butclearly well conditioned. mtaylor40 - 7 Nov 2013 17:42 |
Excellent Robbies beer, curries still good but perhaps not as good as before, they were originally from a restaurant in Rusholme. Still well worth a visit. Realale4me - 11 Feb 2013 09:11 |
Curries as excellent as ever and the Robinsons beers are usually fine too. Been in several times recently and stll rate it as good to very good. glossopowl - 24 Sep 2012 21:58 |
Great local pub in an old part of the town, with some original features. Handy for a pint when you have descended off Bleaklow and they do curries as well that are highly regarded. The Robinsons beers are always in good nick. The tap room is a good place to watch Premiership football on tv.at the weekend. glossopowl - 18 May 2011 21:56 |
