Jonny Ringo's / The Lodge, Newcastle
As you can see in the picture, now called The Lodge and partly owned by Ant and Dec. Drinks promotions on Friday and Saturday nights. Live sport. Decent food.

Keel Row Lloyds No 1, Newcastle
Another Wetherspoons chain bar, but with music, so an atmosphere. Good place to meet. Cheap.

Decent beer but a touch expensive. Attracts older crowds as opposed to young. Decent food in the daytime.

One of my favourite bars in Newcastle. Every kind of vodka possible is sold here, and at a decent price. Always full of chicks at night. Tends to get very busy and can be a bit of a nightmare getting served.

Same as every other Wetherspoons. No music. No live sport. No pool table. However, cheap, decent beer, always heaving with chicks and loads of room. A good place to start the night.

Reasonable priced drinks. A good stop off between the Bigg Market and Central Station/Quayside bars. Tends to attract younger crowds.

Agreed, a good meeting place. Gets busy on match days. Decent food at reasonable prices. Sometimes slow to get served. Live football. Reasonable priced drinks, trebles very good value.

Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable prices. One of the few city centre pubs with a pool table and a jukebox. Also shows live football.

Offshore 44, Newcastle
Good early on with cheap cocktails but gets far too busy later on, especially at weekends. Worth a visit though.
