Nice pub, good food and ale and caters for kids without turning it into a creche. Why is Anglesey so bloody expensive though?

Deeply disappointing pub which should and could be so good if the owners weren't shamelessly profiteering. A tenner for homemade chilli, chips and rice. When it came without rice, a crap excuse about it being rice or chips. As for homemade; whose home? H.J Heinz'. Relying on passing trade and taking the mick. Symptomatic of so many pubs in the popular areas of the lakes these days and a crying shame.

Came down from Helvellyn to find the 'Ramblers Bar' closed for a private function!! on 21st May. Big fat Zero I'm afraid. Surely they've got the rest of the hotel for functions and the ramblers bar should be left open?

The New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, Langdale
Cracking place to sit outside on a dry night when staying in langdale, although on saturday night, the place was full of smoke from the open fire which was a bit off putting. Nevertheless, the beer was on top form!

The Stickle Barn Tavern, Great Langdale
Good Saturday night in the SBT after hoofing it from Langdale to Scafell Pike and back. The Coniston Oatmeal stout was especially on form as was the Old Peculiar. Preferred the version of 'Fog on the Tyne' by Gazza rather the act that was on!

Lovely pub hidden down a sidestreet in Droylsden. All the usual suspects on draught plus a well kept guest that is rotated every few weeks.

Recently eaten in Sam's, the first time in about three years. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. A little disappointed that there was only one cask ale on and the leffe was 5.20 a pint! However, still a cracking place.

Nice enough pub in a nice setting on the road between Wilmslow and the airport. went in for a bite to eat with a two week old baby and the manager was most accomodating. Food ok but not great. Had black sheep and Landlord on but i didn't sample them as i was driving. However, three quid a pint for a cask ale seems a bit steep. i guess this is down to location of the pub. Out towards the stockbroker belt.

popped in this place a few times while down from Manchester on a course. The cask ale was good and the people were friendly. Nice place.

After a day spent walking up Sca Fell and back, the Brook House was a most welcome find. a lovely piece of sirloin and several pints of well kept ale soothed the aching feet. The 'Celtic Warrior' was especially good. Good pub.

Many a memorable occasion spent in here when in Paris for the last stage of Le tour and suchlike. Always a good atmosphere on a weekend night. Beers brewed on the premises are generally good and you'll pay less than you will for a pint of weak lager elsewhere in Paris. Find yourself a space near the stairs leading down to the Khazi and watch drunken football, rugby and cycling fans trying to negotiate them while obviously terrified of falling. If you go down them yourself, you'll know what i mean!

Ship Inn, Tynygongl, Pentraeth
Really liked the place and especially liked the fact that the area where kids could eat is as nice as the rest of the pub. Cask Tetleys and Adnams and a local ale available and seemed well kept. The food was good but consider a bill of 65 for two adults and one kids fish and chips, a couple of pints and a glass of wine? Its no different to the rest of Anglesey and I would go again, but the prices are barmy.
