Stunning pub, tucked away on the beach road.... this pub is at Rhoscolyn, but we visited after a day on an amazing beach near Treaddur bay. Pub was recommended to us and lived up to the hype... Amazing high deck, fabulous food and good beer. I had a hoppy Conwy bitter.. Made all the better by a young waiter living in Holyhead who was super efficient, friendly and knowledgeable... Fourth pub of the day in Anglesey was the White Eagle. We came here from the Valley Hotel and the Anchorage Hotel. The White Eagle is tucked away at the southern end of Holy Island. Despite its remote location, it was very busy. Popular with families and multiple dogs, it clearly does a good trade in food. The real ale selection was probably the best on the island too. Ales on this visit were Weetwood Eastgate, Bragdy Conwy California & Beachcomber, Coach House 16 & Dunscar Blonde And Ambitious. blue_scrumpy - 21 May 2018 19:30 |
Nice pub, good food and ale and caters for kids without turning it into a creche. Why is Anglesey so bloody expensive though? kip2000 - 30 May 2011 20:39 |
Very modern pub, tastefully decorated and with stunning views. A few cask ales, regularly the wonderful Weetwood Eastgate Ale. The food is very good, too. baggy212 - 15 Jul 2008 02:40 |
