you do have a point about the sandwiches, this is not a food pub. this is a drinkers pub.

Ye Olde House At Home, Broadwater
i am with the pub on this one, i have never been to a pub that allows children in the evening, it's a well known fact. you should know this by now. how was the bar person supposed to know you had children if they were already sat in the garden when you ordered your drinks.

The Oddfellows Arms, Pulborough
food in here is not superb, the beer is average and not kept very well, lots of sediment in my pint so needless to say i didn't drink it. the locals were at the lower end of the scale but not nasty in any way. customer service is none existant. dont bother making a special trip to eat here.

good quality beer expect to see the famous harvey's on the pump, food is better than most pubs. miserable bar staff though which took the shine off the visit a bit, but not too much.

The Three Crowns, Wisborough Green
found the beer to be a bit average, archers ales?! did'nt taste very good, my girlfriend and me had a meal in there but that was a bit ordinary as well. I had a few great meals in there a few years ago but not this time. It is more of a restaurant pub than a drinkers pub which suits me but there was a group of young lads in there being a bit leary which was a bit of a dissapointment. There is a good beer garden like babebeth says

the landlord here knows what he's doing, well kept beer, lovely food, nice selection of whisky and wine. did shut in the afternoon between 3 and 6 ish when i went there though so you might want to phone to make sure of opening times to avoid dissapointment

big pub but food is below par and beer is really average hall and woodhouse favourites which are not kept very well at all. if you just want to get drunk and are stuck in billingshurst this will probably be ok however if you like the taste of beer and want to eat some good food go somewhere else

this is a great and very old pub. no food except sandwiches, toated sandwiches and soup but there is no cut off point which is great for soaking up the beer late on in the evening. harvey's gravity fed straight from the barrel, beautiful. mortified to hear that tim is leaving lets have a whip round everyone and make sure it does'nt become another loathsome greene king or hall and woodhouse pub!!

The Parrot Inn, Forest Green
This pub could have been great, but it isn't. Who thought that in a quiet country pub artisan charcuterie is needed? Like the others have said, the staff are rude and bereft of enthusiasm and happiness and really do put a downer on every visit so needless to say i dont go there anymore. Try to imagine a Harvester with nothing happening and you have got it, the food is good but it ought to be to make up for the poor performance of the staff.
