My favourite micro pub! Been open a year now so cannot believe this is the first review! Located in a back street of Ilkeston, which is, to be polite, not a prestigious town! Small bar so only four or five beers at a time but always a good range, also does several ciders and some unusual bottled beers.

The Horse and Jockey, Stapleford
Pub re-opened as real ale venue Oct 2012 so please disregard any revews before this date!
first class pub with no TV, no Juke Box, no slot machines. Ten hand-pumps generally at least half of them LocAle - including an exclusive "Horse and Jockey" session ale from Full Mash at a very agreeable £2.50/pint before your 10p Camra discount.
CANRA national finalist in 2013 and already won Nottingham PotY for 2014.
Themed mini beer-festival at least once a month

The Jag's beer wash never anything much but had good local atmosphere.
Sadly demolished spring 2014 because apparently we need yet another supermarket!

Nice traditional little pub just inside the town wall a stones throw from the beach. Very small outside space.
5 ales on tap -Brain's SA, Abbots and three regularly changing pumps, often fairly local stuff. Plus at least one beer straight from keg on the back of tbe bar at weekends.
Also one hand pimp for Addlestones cider.
