Lively little bar in the centre of town. The regulars are "colourfull" but I've never seen trouble there unlike the place round the corner. Friendly staff.

Great value food and always a decent guest beer available. Set in the middle of nowhere, it's a little gem of a pub. Live music once a month also.

The Whyteleafe Tavern, Whyteleafe
Tom is actually one of the best landlords in the business and a very friendly guy. I expect some of the negative comments have come from people he's barred. The Whyteleafe is a curates egg of a pub. Some parts of it I like, some I don't. But, it's my local and I'll support it.

Has gone through various managers, names and images over the years. Current incarnation not good. Back to the days of hooligans. One to avoid.

Best pub in the area. Well kept ale. Nice atmosphere. A traditional old drinkers pub rather than a kiddie paradise.

Full of kids who want to fight each other after a couple of beers.

My God isn't Mr "Difficult" living up to his name? Yes mate, it's background music. If it's foreground music maybe you'd have grounds for complaint (no pun intended). As for the food...you totally contradicted yourself pal. Go back and read your comments. Better still go drink in Weatherspoons from now on!

My favourite pub in the area. Good ale and unpretentious food at reasonable prices.

Went there yesterday. It was hot and BH was full of tourists. Considering the large, rapid turnover, the food was ok. Standard pub fare and nothing fancy but reasonable and at a good price.
You can wait a little while to get served a drink though.

Went on a Tuesday evening. Apparently if you order before 6.30 pm you get 25% off. After looking at their menu, 25% off seemed like a good idea as it's a bit on the pricey side for a pub. We arrived at 6.20 and was told in a very blunt fashion by the manager that we'd better get a move on and order.
Now I know it's a poncey pub full of "up their arses" types, but I haven't been spoken to like that even in some of the dossholes I've frequented, so i took an instant dislike to the place and the manager. The food was good and there was plenty of it but I found it a little bland.
These people would do well to realise that the pub trade is in deep trouble at the moment and you cannot speak to people like we were spoken to. I know that the guy probably thinks he has a divine right to act like Basil Fawlty just because a few toffs frequent his pub in the country but time and takings will surely tell if this overpiced hostelry will survive.

The Worcester Park, Worcester Park
Actually, this place still has live music. Not quite as grand as it's previous incarnation but every few weeks we play there.
We're still waiting to have a great gig here though.

The Tickled Ivory Piano Lounge, Reigate
This place epitomises everything that is wrong in the licencing trade. Crap management, crap bar staff, intimidating bouncers, shit beer and high prices.
Far more interesting places to visit in Reigate.

The Railway Tavern, Hampton Wick
A load of old twaddle talked below. Pleasant pub with REAL locals and fine ales. The landlady is a looker as well. Very friendly.

This place has gone through a lot of changes over the last two years. It used to be a fight-a-night, now you're more likely to get assaulted with a lap-top.
Great food and good atmosphere, Paul, the manager (and owner) has done wonders with this place.
Live entertainment every Saturday with local outfits like the brilliant Brightwhite.

A real old fashioned pub. Good pint of Fullers. Boring but reliable.
The local yobs and chavs frequent the Blacksmiths opposite.

The Parchmore Tavern, Thornton Heath
I used to play music here. Not any more.
Bad, bad pub! Full of Irish pykies who like nothing better than to smash the place up (and anyone who gets in their way). The "manager" who's never there, has no control over the situation at all.
I watched the front window go one night when two rival families got into a ruck.
If that's your idea of entertainment, then by all means chance a drink here.

Played here a few times. Lousy management who managed to have a fist fight with one of the bar staff at around 11.30pm. The place is run by kids for kids. Beer crap. All in all, a place to avoid.
A cattle market at the weekend with no redeeming qualities!

Great pub. Excellent food. No yobs. Plus a decent pint of Fullers.

The Fox and Hounds, Carshalton
I play at this pub. It's had it's share of management problems over the last few months but that should all clear up in the future.
It's a great venue to play because the punters are pleasant people. The beers are varied and pretty good (being a bitter man myself).
The problems here are more to do with the Sprit Group than the pub. They cut back on everything leaving their managers to run a pub on a shoestring budget.

Over priced eating house frequented by over rich idiots at the week ends. A little on the poncey side. Service crap. The place is run by kiwis and south africans.

The Pembroke, Coulsdon
They've stopped the live music. It's now just another large pub with no character.
