I find it amazing that people such as Benton can be so vulgar, the comments he made about the landlord in the spotted dog are very untrue and unjust, and while I won't be rude about another pub I find the spotted dog to be the best pub in the area , for food and service and character. Mind you reading his other reviews I would say it's a good thing he won't go in there anyway. Nashby - 22 Dec 2012 16:24 |
Attention sirs, steer well clear if you don't like the whites the bottle house is teaming with them Dishwad - 7 Dec 2012 15:21 |
We picked this place to take my wife's mother for a lunch time treat and I have to say overall it wasn't as good as I'd hoped! Poor beer selection (for me not the MIL) and whilst food was okay it really wasn't anything special for the price. Won't be rushing back anytime soon. meland - 19 Aug 2012 12:21 |
Went for another visit to see if it had improved yet. SADLY it hasnt still looks like a over priced wine bar but with surly staff. Food menu used to be good but not anymore. Shame we cant say its improved at all. monkeyhanger1 - 24 Nov 2011 19:23 |
Visited weekday lunchtime, greeted by 3 charming ladies two who have lived, worked and managed there for 26 years! Brilliant service, food definitely not frozen, above average pub food, see they have won best food pub in Kent 2011, well deserved. Good beer and excellent wine list. Picked up the history, built in 1492 - did they have Harvesters then ????? Definitely worth a re-visit justintime - 3 Jun 2011 10:46 |
