Came here for a late lunch between Christmas and New Year, found it very busy and therefore expected and got some delays with food service. Had a pleasant, unhurried meal, good beer and wine, and attentive service. Any complaints ? Yes, JW Lees food prices.

Bustling pub Saturday (market day) lunchtime. Only just managed to squeeze in. Well worth it. Service (drinks and food), prices (food) and atmosphere all terrific.

Called in at lunchtime for a meal, quiet until 1 o'clock when it got busy. Nice location, tasty food, unobtrusive background music, good selection of beers and only one noisy child (with an even noisier mother). Possibly it may have changed hands since our last visit 18 months ago.

Ye Olde No 3 Inn, Little Bollington
2nd visit after rediscovering the pub 2 weeks ago, this time with friends. We ALL enjoyed the food.

The fish and chips filled the plate. The beef bourgignon and garlic ciabata, and the chicken on caponata, came without other accompaniment and looked lonely in the middle of the large plates. I needed three courses to feel I'd eaten properly. Despite this we all thought the food well cooked, well presented and served with a smile. We'll need some time to save up for the next visit, they should have fixed the lights in the loos by then.

Yippee ! Proper, edible chips and luvly fish. Judging by my wifes smile her food was good too (she says it was great).

The Spread Eagle Hotel, Romiley
How many TVs ? I counted 6. Despite this I enjoyed my pint of Hobgoblin and my food (served all day it says on the door) and the service with a smile.

The Midland Hotel, Marple Bridge
Busy on Sunday afternoon but service still good. Fine pint of Adnams. Good food, well presented, but not cheap.

The Horse and Jockey, Tideswell
Still serving food at 2:30 on Saturday, good service, comfortable in the long seats, nice fire burning, and the food was good (including the vegetables).

The Bulls Head, Ashford in the Water
Got there just before 3:00 pm closing, ordered a pint and a half, cost �5.50. It's that kind of pub I suppose.
