The Harvest Moon, Thorley

Nice pub. Shame about the staff.

Talbot and Falcon, Wakefield

Not a bad pub, and very handy for the 110 bus to Leeds.

Moodys, Wakefield

I remember when this was a Pizza Hut, but it has been a pub/bar for many years now. There are better places within a couple of minutes walk, so you would be wise not to bother with Moody's.

Yates's, Wakefield

Back in the 80s and early 90s Yates's Wine Lodge was the place to meet at the start of a good night out. Then Yates's changed there image in the mid 90s and it all went down hill. After Yates's closed a new bar called PJ's opened, and things have got even worse than before. I'm not sure about PJ's being a chain because the only other PJ's I have come across is in London, and that was quite posh, and this place is not! They do allow children in during the day, but when I asked for a packet of crisp for my daughter I was told "We don't do crisps"

I will not be returning to PJ's in a hurry.

The Black Rock, Wakefield

Good old traditional pub, and I hope it stays that way. I always have a pint at the Black Rock when I'm in Wakefield. A good place to meet before you start the "Westgate Run".

The Bar On The Corner, Weymouth

Popular bar located on one of the busiest thoroughfares in Weymouth, at the heart of the towns drinking circuit. Unfortunately they don't serve food.

The Star, Bishops Stortford

The Star was taken over by new management a few months ago and it is a much better place to drink now. Almost all the Chavs and Muppets that did drink there have gone back to the Black Lion where they belong. The food is much better and it seems a lot busier at lunchtimes. The staff are very friendly and apparently they are getting real ale very soon!
