Went in mid-December. Very quiet, almost as many doormen as customers. car1953 - 17 Jan 2016 17:36 |
The current incarnation is 'Westgates'. aleandhearty - 17 Sep 2009 09:12 |

Back in the 80s and early 90s Yates's Wine Lodge was the place to meet at the start of a good night out. Then Yates's changed there image in the mid 90s and it all went down hill. After Yates's closed a new bar called PJ's opened, and things have got even worse than before. I'm not sure about PJ's being a chain because the only other PJ's I have come across is in London, and that was quite posh, and this place is not! They do allow children in during the day, but when I asked for a packet of crisp for my daughter I was told "We don't do crisps" I will not be returning to PJ's in a hurry. No longer a Yates pub, but another chain (PJ's?). Nothing much to write home about, but it's not too expensive, and does food (Wetherspoon's standard by the looks of it). No decent beer Woodie09 - 28 Jan 2009 15:46 |
