Change of owners has been he making of this pub.
Used to be the local sixth form watering hole. Now does good food and reasonable beer.

Standard town centre pub with little imagination in choosing decent beer.
Super value for excellent food in a friendly atmosphere.

The Farmers Arms, Barrow In Furness

I agree with most of the previous comments. Seats in the bar are passed down from father to son and seats at the tables from mother to daughter.
Don't make the mistake of sitting down anywhere as you will surely be sitting in somebody's chair and will be stared at until you leave. Disaster of a pub. Only redeeming feature was a reasonable choice of ale.

The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel and Bar, Barrow in Furness

Good selection of ales. Lot of work done recently improving the bar area.

Cross Keys Hotel, Barrow in Furness

An interesting little pub in the centre of the town, but hidde away in a back street. Seems to have an interesting and changing choice of guest real ales. Worth going back to.
