On my recent visit [3rd March 2016] this pub had 4 ales on; two regular ales Theakstons Black Sheep & Greene King IPA, it also had Okell's cask bitter which was quite nice and B. B. Clarke's Crystal Gold from its Merrie City range. I had a few pints of that and it is a cracking beer, i hope they get it in again. alehippy - 6 Mar 2016 13:59 |
This is now a very good pub.Only a very few are grummpy regulars, ie, Capt Pugwash, The little Cherub, and Pain in the Butt. In most cases pensioners sitting rooms are quite comfy. I find it very frienly NOT clanish.Landlady and staff friendly and down to earth. freddy2 - 12 Jul 2009 16:01 |
