Several real ales available. I had an excellent Green Jack "Gone Fishing ESB", a Lowestsft brewery. Friendly people and good views.

The Crab and Lobster, Bembridge
Pleasantly surprised. Decent beer and a nice garden.
Having been disappointed with so many IOW pubs this was an unexpected treat.

This has re-opened with Al Stringer from the Southwick Brewhouse as the new Landlord. Beer was always good down South and I assume he's kept that up in his new venture. I'll be in Norfolk in a few weeks and will drop in and report back.

A pub worth going out of your way for. Gooden's Gold always perfect. Nice garden. Food seems popular but I'm too much of a skinflint to waste good beer money.

The Limes at Catisfield, Catisfield
7 years since my last review of this pub and not much has changed. Still excellent beers - Thumper, 49er, Summer Lightening. HSB has improved drastically since I last wrote. My only criticism is that they've followed the latest craze of having Doom Bar - what's the attraction? Few pubs can rival one this for quality of beer.

The Limes at Catisfield, Catisfield
10/10 for the Summer Lightning. 49er as well but I didn't try it. HSB available - do people still drink this?
Highly recommended.

Worth a visit just to look at the barmaids. A big bonus was that the Abbot was beautiful too.
Nice to sit outside on a hot day.

This pub burnt down years ago and is now a block of flats.

Good choice of well kept beers. Ballards Wassail was on when I visited. A proper pub not spoiled by modernisation.

Open fire. Lovely pint of Abbot's Ale. Lovely barstaff (well, the girls are), lots of cricket paraphenalia (Thomas Lord is the bloke who Lord's cricket ground is namedd after).

The White Horse Inn, Priors Dean
Had an excellent No Name Strong, whatever that is. It must be a rebranded beer (Old Thumper?). Will be popping back for the Longest Day Festival, 20th/21st June when there will be dozens of real ales.
