Several real ales available. I had an excellent Green Jack "Gone Fishing ESB", a Lowestsft brewery. Friendly people and good views. MarkM - 9 Jun 2015 11:01 |
Walking the Suffolk Coast Path on a very hot afternoon, spied this real Oasis. Absolute perfection......9 real ales on! Foolishly ordered a Pint of Adnams Bitter, thinking we were in premium price territory. Big shock at just £2.50/pint. A gift, served by a charming, welcoming barmaid. This pub deserves recognition as offering the best value, ambience and drinking pleasure. You want more? Ok, they do cheap eats, plus a kids play area and there is outside seating in the Sun with a great view. Ice Cream for a hot day? Yes they do that as well. Previous posts are spot on. Well done Landlord. Ravenousdrythroat - 26 Jul 2014 09:54 |
6 beers on gravity. All at perfect temperature.A further four on handpumb.A wonderfull selection of East Anglian and further afield beers.A knowledgable landlord committed to real ale and friendly locals. Cannot understand why it is not in the good beer guide when some other local pubs who are in the guide serve such a bland selection of beers and often at much lower temperature than should be the case.Local camra seem to have there firm favourite pubs and base their selection on a whole host of issues with beer quality down the list. Take my suggestion and visit this pub right by the sea. a very happy customer samuk - 11 May 2014 09:49 |
Been using this a lot lately.Very friendly landlord and staff and a lot of beer on gravity in superb condition on every visit. Beers have varied from Wolf to abbot reserve to Humpty Dumpty. Without a doubt the best beer in and around Lowestoft at present. samuk - 1 Jan 2014 12:11 |
