The Flying Childers, Doncaster
Great atmospheric pub in a tiny alleyway though plenty enough people find it. The best pint of Deuchars ive ever had and I have tried the toasties and sausage sandwiches which are quite good value for the area. It's also none too expensive given its location.

The british army drink here? dont make me laugh our brave lads would not insult themselfs by drinking out of such a dirty third world pub with beers served by dirty filthy primates and Mark99 if i got a chip on my shoulder it probably come of them dirty filthy flea-ridden seats in there! i suggest you go sit on them and let the primate runners of that rat hole feed you some of there KFC and bananas!!! and wash it down with some coconut milk!

This is not just a bad pub, it's a blot on another otherwise attractive landscape. The clientele are horrifically intimidating and unpleasant, the staff are Horrible.straight from a Ghetto Absolutely unwelcoming and with an air of bored menace at the best of times, this pub attracts the very worst of the locals. It's like flies around...well you know... And not even nice flies - irritating, bloated obnoxious flies. Inside is cramped, aggressive and with that all pervaying air of boredom and menace. There are a few regulars who seem to spend most of their lives here and are seemingly perpetually hammered. I don't blame them, I'd need to be utterly intoxicated to spend any time at all in there, let alone my entire waking existence. my mrs and i had a breakfast there and it was straight out of icelands value selection and stale YUCK! I know them people love there KFC Chicken but come on! thanks to the smoking ban - the regulars crawl out onto the foreground, and prove a hideous spectacle in an otherwise lovely area.if you like cheap greezy iceland food and warm stale murky beer well this place is for you They should knock this pub down and turn it into a marshy pond - most of the regulars would feel quite at home there.and the owners and staff in the jungle with the trees and bananas!

The pub has changed hands again, however it appears for the better. Live music and "a full programme" of activities throughout the week if you are into that sort of thing..... Poker Nights, Darts comps and the like.... always clean and tidy inside

The Hallcross, Doncaster
Yesterday was my first visit. It's a virtually unspoilt backstret local with a number of small bars/snugs. There is a friendly welcome with conversation encouraged. Yesterday the two guest beers were York Constantine and Betwixt Dark Matter, in addition to the regular Jennings Ale, Burton Ale and Tetley Bitter/Mild. I'd certainly come here again.
