Needed a pub within walking distance & serving food to take the extended family. This was the only option that wasn't in the centre of Stevenage.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was pretty well populated for a MOnday evening and the barstaff were on top of things.
Only beers on handpump were Greene King IPA and How Green Is Our Valley which seems to be a joint venture between GK and Kite Brewery - lighter & hoppier than GK IPA and - in here - £1.70 a pint. Certainly drinkable. The rest of the family were on the wine. We ordered food which was served quickly, came in copious volumes, tasted fine and was reasonably priced.
Also had a pool table and dartboard (with a womens darts team at the oche).
A comfortable 6+ for overall experience.

Visited this pub on Saturday night at 10.15 and apart from 4 lads at the pool table (who left soon afterwards) this pub was completely empty. A shame really as the pub has been recently refurbished to a good standard and it's in a nice location on the edge of Stevenage. It's a Greene King "Meet & Eat" franchise which limits the beer choice. There was the inevitable GK IPA together with something called How Green Was Our Valley, which I've never come across before; it was drinkable if unexceptional. The majotr downside as far as we were concerned was the appearance of the landlady's dog, which must be the noisiest yappiest little mutt in the county. Please get rid of it!

A good pub in a quiet "perfect for summer" location.
Three ales; one is a guest - though supply can be eratic and some may run out.
Has bench tables on the green and a childrens play area. The large main bar is child friendly and the 'sports bar' is over 18's only.

Sorry, I will now write my comment in English:

Quite a big place, family friendly side and an over 18's only side of the pub. Staff seem pretty friendly. Although I didn't eat the food seemed ok from what I saw. Beer is ok, Speckled Hen, GK IPA and Abbott. Nice big out door seating area at front and decking area at the back. No too bad.
