The Alma, Sidcup

FAO DeGew..Scottish notes are not legal tender in England, so you're the ignorant one.

If you don't believe me, go to The Bank of England website.

John must be mad letting Kerry and Nicky go. They're the best thing thats happened to this pub in years. They will be sorely missed.

degen- Scots are welcome in The Alma, I know at least three who drink in here...just not your Mickey Mouse money.

The Mousetrap Inn, Bourton on the Water

Such a shame the Landlord has no concept of people skills.

The Angerstein, Greenwich

Landlord lets Millwall "fans" in at 09.00 in the morning. Enough said.

Kelly the barmaid has a couple of nice assets.

The Admiral Hardy, Weymouth

Popped in a couple of evenings ago with my children for a bite to eat. I got the feeling the Landlord feels he is doing holiday makers a favour by doing food. We had to eat in the family room which is fair enough but had to be out by 20.30...not good.

Food is cheap for a reason, very bland to say the least. The pint of Stella I had tasted a bit iffy.

Personally I wouldn't go back.

The White Hart, Brasted

This isn't a pub in the traditional sense, it's a restaurant with a bar area. My wife and I popped in yesterday on our way back from a nice country walk and all we wanted was a sandwich. Was told they didn't do sandwiches but we could have a drink by the bar if we wanted as long as we didn't sit at a table.
Full of pretentious "I have a range Rover therefore I can park as I like" kind of people.

Bulverhythe, St Leonards on Sea

Wasn't open when I tried it last Saturday.

Bo-peep, St Leonards on Sea

I had the steak and ale pie....nice enough. Not a bad pub to spend the afternoon watching the rugby, been in a lot worse.

The Robin Hood, Icklesham

Wish this was my Local. friendly staff, nice beer and reasonable food (the beef was a bit fatty, roaring fire and hops everywhere...

The Filo (First In Last Out), Hastings

Popped in on a wet and windy November afternoon. Sat by the fire and had a nice pint of Gold and the nicest salt beef sandwich I'v ever had.

Lovely place.

The Alma, Sidcup

I've drunk in most pubs in Sidcup. Which one(s) do you think are better than The Alma then?...

Can't really add towhat has been said but the Russian barmaid is a beaut.

Another gripe. One of the barmaids is a right miserable sow. Come on S, bloody well cheer up.

Ye Olde Black Horse, Sidcup

Not my cup-of-tea at all.Find some of the staff to be quite rude.

The Alma, Sidcup

Been using The Alma for nearly six years. All I can say is that it is the best pub in Sidcup by a country mile and I walk past two other pubs to get there. My wife and I have made some very good friends in here over the yeras and, as the lovely Ruth has said, the barstaff are excellent.
My only gripe is that the real ale selection is not very extensive.
