The Duke of Wellington, Twyford
Decent pub for a couple of pints before going on to one of the restaurants in Twyford. Two lounges, one with a games machine and TV, plus a smaller one that's a little quieter. Never had a bad experience.

Emergency pint only. Not somewhere I'd make a special trip out for, but not necessarily a bad pub either.

Marvellous pub with a real cosy, country village atmosphere. Fantastic food whenever we've eaten there and a great range of beers to choose from. Shame that I have to drive or get a taxi from Twyford - as it's too far to walk. Haen't been for while and should make a return sometime soon.

Consider this to be our local, despite a mile or so walk from Twyford. Easily the best pub near Twyford. Good range of beers (Brakespears and Hoegaarden) and wines, a very good regular menu and always a lot of specials to choose from. Excellent pub/restaurant. Good both indoors and out.

The Alehouse, Reading
This is a great pub with a fabulous selection of ales and a great bunch of staff who really don't care - in the best possible way! A good place for a boys evening or lunchtime conversation. Some of the 'engravings' in the back are downright hilarious and well worth a few minutes of your time.
