The Kings Arms, Bridport

Uh oh, Palmers have spoilt another one. Obviously someone has been down to the local paint shop when the 'orrible colours were going cheap. Do we really need another classic backstreet boozer turned upside down? Good friendly bar staff though and the beer was on form - although I would expect this at 2.80 a pint. At 2.80 a pint I would expect to keep the glass!

The Boot, Weymouth

What a pub! A case of a pub actually improved by change and the beer from Ringwood is superb! Try this pub before you die!

The Armoury Inn, Yeovil

Quality real ale pub opposite the hospital. No frills boozer - one of a dying breed...

The Nags Head, Lyme Regis

A pub with everything? Tucked away above the town this freehouse has it all. Real fire, darts, pool, live music, beer garden overlooking sea and beyond. Also stocks a regularly changing guest beer or two and it's usually something different (at a fair price too). Welcoming locals and bar staff alike make this one well worth the struggle up Silver Street! Games room tucked away on lower level so it doesn't intrude.

The George Hotel, Bridport

Beer prices match central London. Can you believe that Bridport pubs (Palmers ones) now manage to sell lager at 3.15 a pint! Too cliquey by far. Food suspect.

The Angel Inn, Lyme Regis

Sorry, but this place needs serious refurbishment! The beer from the cask was flat and the crisps stale. Used to be good but not now.

Greyhound, Bridport

When Wetherspoons arrived in Bridport we all welcomed it. At last a pint at a fair price. Since the landlord has gone the pub is now filthy, understaffed on busy nights and the guest ales are unimaginative. Look to the Dorchester 'spoons for 'how to do it'. Bar staff surly too.

The Hope and Anchor, Bridport

Was always a good pub - good, sensibly priced ale. A superb night when there is music on. The clean up is welcome but the beer range never changes. That was one of the attractions of the pub before the change. There's a limit to how much Otter and Courage you can take...

The George, West Bay

Out of tourist season an unwelcome mass of neon in what was a nice public bar. The brewery seem intent on establishing the sort of identity that pubs had in the 1980s. Ho hum. Rough crowd out of season, I'm afraid. Played darts there and found it v intimidating.

The Crown Inn, Bridport

I have frequented this pub on and off over the past twelve years. Beer very hit and miss but good crowd. Prices are up to London standards! Can't afford to drink here any more. 2.90 a pint!!!
