Surprisingly good pub that overcomes two obstacles - it's part of the expanding (and expensive) Fullers chain, and it's a railway station pub (in the courtyard of Euston station). Good choice of real ales, bar staff are always efficient and well trained, prices are more reasonable than some nearby pubs. Always a pleasure to visit.

Right next to a major rail and tube station and taking advantage of those too busy / lazy to look a little further. Other nearby pubs can charge about £4 for a pint so why is a perfectly ordinary bitter £4.60 here? Ordinary decor and food don't justify the price. Get's my vote as the worst pub in this area

The great but unusual thing here is that the beers are clearly marked on a large blackboard along with strength and price. The beers are from smaller breweries and the price is remarkably reasonable for the area.
Downside is the first-floor one-person loo and the cell-like upstairs seating room.

It's gone gastro and lost all it's scuzzy charm (and fine jukebox). It's more expensive and there are more punters, so I guess it was a good business decision.....

Used to be a semi-regular here. I've not been since the landlord moved a group of us to serve food to a tourist family in a spectacularly rude and aggressive manner.

As Wetherspoons cinema conversions go, this is a winner. This cinema seems to have been more attractive than the average flea-pit. And in a city where a pint is often around £4, a good, unusual pint at £2 seemed a bit of a steal. Typical open-plan, zero-atmosphere, low-rent feel though.

Perfectly ordinary old-school boozer. No real ale or interesting lagers / ciders. Pool table. Plentiful screens for sport. All of which might be a recommendation or not. Take your pick

Small back room much more atmospheric than the open-floor bar room. Not as busy as I'd expected - is the Antic formula becoming that bit too formulaic???

Excellent selection of ales and great service for such a busy pub. Nothing special decor-wise - despite the name it's not as "olde worlde" as nearby Kings Arms. Not quite as expensive either...

Small and atmospheric in a country-pub type of way. Good ales and service. One major downer - it's more expensive than other pubs in the area. And they're not exactly cheap

I love a basement pub. Small, cramped, atmospheric. Not here. It's a cross between Wetherspoons and an American sports bar. Not that its's bad - the ales are fine, the service is good - it's just a bit corporate bland.

Lovely little pub. Unpretentious, old school, reasonably priced compared to most around here. Worth seeking out if you're in the area

This bears little relation to the previous pub on this site with the same name. Decent selection of ale is its only good point. Zero character, horrendously noisy, poorly trained bar staff who serve anyone stood near the tills rather than those waiting longest. Easily the worst pub in this area

The Bricklayers Arms, Fitzrovia
The best of the Sam Smith pubs in the area for my money. The dark-wood and etched-glass look is getting a little cliched for me. There's something of the country-pub downstairs (a basic front bar, darts in the back room) but more of the city upstairs (deep sofas, coffee tables, pot plants). If only I could teach myself to like Sam Smith's bitter ....
