Food was not bad. Price was fair. Like others, we took the chance of �10 for 2 meals for lunch during weekday. We ordered the Chicken salad. It's a smaller portion but ok if you wanted a light lunch. However, the avocado mentioned in the Chicken Salad was not actually served in the dish. We both ordered the same dish but neither of us could find a piece of avocado. That's the down side.

We was referred by friend for its good food. We went in one weekday for lunch. I had to admit that we were a bit disappointed as we didn't feel welcomed at all. There were 3 staff at the bar but no one really greeted to us. The landlord was too busy doing his paperwork and on the phone with the supplier at the bar and didnt even make any eye contact with any customer. The food was quite expensive but it was a good portion. My seafood dish is ok but my friend was not happy with his steak meal. It was overcooked. The waitress was very kind to cook another one. However, both steaks were quite tough. IWe don't think it is real rump steak. Mind you don't try the steak unless you want your teeth off. We definitely will not go back. This was not the end of story. My friend ended up having a few diarrhoea in that afternoon.

The pub is only 2 minutes' walk from the beach. We went fishing but hadn't got much luck. Decided to go in for the fish & chips. This was the best fish & chips I have ever had. Their beer was well -kept. Staff were friendly. The only problem was a screaming kid sitting near the main entrance. No wonder why they have a small area for adults only. Thanks god for that. Well -done Britannia. We definitely will come back.

sent an email over a week ago on a recomendation from a friend, we are organising a reunion for about thirty people in june, they didnt even have the manners to reply !! maybe they dont need the business ?..whats the point in having an email contact for the place when they cannot be bothered, anyway after reading some other peoples comments maybe its for the best. by the way i contacted the britannia on dungeness the same way and have everything sorted out, it took just 24 hours !! maybe the "pilot" has fallen asleep!!!! not the kind of plane i will ever fly on thats for sure.

Agree with the writer below. We used to be the regulars here. But after the last landlord left and this place has gone downhill in food and service level for the past year. You hardly see the new landlord and the place was run probably by a manager or supervisor with all kids in the kitchen. This was our last visit. Don't think we will come back until things are sorted out.
