The Crystal Palace Tavern, Bath
It seemed a nice enough pub but yeah... the food is really poor. 5.00 for a tiny jacket potato, soggy where it was just nuked in the microwave and accompanied with a slice of cucumber and wilted piece of lettuce. Plus a tub of mayo which alledgedly also contained a few flakes of tuna.
Didn't try the beer.... staff were miserable. Shame.

We're frequent visitors to this pub - shows football on lots of screens, good atmosphere during a match. the bar staff are friendly (although one has personal hygiene issues)and there's a comprehensive selection of lager. It's a proper town drinking pub with wooden floors, good decor and atmosphere. NICE glasses, free table football, big beer garden, a pool table and good juke box. What more could you ask for.

The Platform Tavern, Southampton
One of our favourite pubs in Southampton - A cosy intimate atmosphere with a comfy sofa, friendly bar staff and great decor. Sandwiches were amazing and excellent value.

The Flying Legends, Clifton Moor
This is a creche with a bar. The only reason we visited - nothing else for miles! 2 out of 10 only because the beer was cold and had a decent head.

This pub always guarentees an eclectic mix of characters! We only pop in when we are waiting for our train but it entertains. Friendly bar staff and cheap juke box.

We usually visit this pub during the day or early evening which may excuse the lack of atmosphere. We always have to ask for a head on our lager though, which is inexcusable. It has a good jukebox and good decor although the staff are a bit hit and miss.

Very cliquey-men only. There are plenty of other nice pubs in York to give this one a miss.

A relaxing atmosphere in a busy food orientated pub aimed at tourists. Real lack of 'locals' but pub full of nice features such as a real fire place (with a real fire!) and lots of beams.

Very busy on an evening, plenty of seating and quite food orientated. Friendly bar staff, nice city centre pub.

A beamey, dark dingey but clean pub. Lots of hide-away snug corners. Used to be a good city centre drinkers pub but is now more food orientated and the beer was a bit disappointing. Will always pop back to this pub though for old times sake!

Went in on a Friday night, had a live covers band which created a good atmosphere. Fairly small pub, looking a bit grotty but good for a swift half!

Popped in for a swift half early in the day - like you do. Didn't really see the point of this pub, could be anywhere and doesn't make the most of its features. Overall, fairly indifferent but inoffensive.

Intimate cosy pub with very cheap local beer, stone floors and beams. Unique pub by the river, well worth a visit.

Cellar bar with nice coves. Very unique chilled out venue, loved it - well worth a visit.

Lively gay venue, friendly people, excellent juke box. Got refused any more beer on a friday night as we'd had such a good time here, didn't realise how drunk we had got!! Best gay bar in York by far.

Friendly bar staff, extremely cheap good local beer. Lots of intimate and distinctive seating. Well worth a visit.

The Anchor and Hope, Salisbury
We liked this pub - good quality cheap beer, good selection. Juke Box was cheap and full of top tunes - pool was also cheap, although the little stick was a pain where the table was too big for the space. Had nice beam features and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Pretty decent pub - will def. visit again.

Bald Faced Stag, Southampton
Please spend some money on the interior, rather than on the patio for the smokers! Don't even know why you bothered to do this as smoking seems to continue indoors anyway....
