The Shortlands Tavern, Shortlands
Visited late one midweek afternoon when the pub was very quiet. 2 ales, Broadside and Greene King IPA and the Broadside was nearing the end of its life (didn't try the IPA). Small outside area overlooking the car-park. Interesting layout inside, toilets clean. But I certainly wouldn't include this on any list of "must see" pubs.

Ale prices now down to 3.30 (gasp!). But the whole place could do with some care and attention.

Feb 2011 - Not sure about 10 ales but certainly a good selection. They also appear to have some interesting whiskey's if that floats your boat. Visited during half term so the "traditional" side of the pub was quite busy with grazing families and their dogs. Unfortunately, the other parts of the pub are not quite as "comfy" so I tended to repair to the Windham.

A pub of two halves - public bar and a saloon/eating area. Good range of local ales kept in good condition - although I mainly concentrated on the Nog!

Visited February 2011. Monday night obviously quiz night so most of the tables were reserved for potential entrants. Good value for pub meals (1st meal 8, second meal 1) although my burger was pretty unappetising. Beer range the usual - Green King, London Pride.
