No longer a Wetherspoons, now called 'Pennies' steambeer - 24 Apr 2020 13:25 |
I have been in the penny black a few times but not for a while now. The pub is filthy, the staff are not good, the manager would rather stand talking to the usual cronies who frequent the pub on a daily basis! Tables are usually piled with dirty plates and glasses. I have seen a few arguements and a fight or two, the toilets leave a lot to be desired. A couple of years back there was a short video being circulated, taken in the ( wont say ladies) toilet, two drunken girls , dont think i need say more than that. I would close the place lynsey341 - 27 Dec 2015 10:47 |
First time here - recently. Surprised to see a dartboard in a Wetherspoon. The manager told me its the only one in the entire c1000 pub group. Demand - was the answer/reason. wealdman - 5 Dec 2015 22:21 |
My visits here have been restricted to weekday lunchtime and later in the afternoon so no idea what the place is like at a weekend or of an evening. Typical Wetherspoons setup really, big glass fronted building so you can see what you're getting yourself into before you step inside! Varied selection of real ale on, staff seemed fine, clientele a mixed bag of stereotypical Wetherspoons drinkers. Not the kind of place I would want to chance a meal at though, don't know why, just something about this establishment. RealAleRobUK - 26 Jul 2013 16:20 |
This is possibly the worst Weatherspoons I have ever visited. If JD Weatherspoons had any sense they would sell it now to stop it from using their name. Noisy, dirty, very dodgy clientele, average beer and very average staff. The pub is rather typical of Kidderminster to be honest! JonnyConsumer - 27 Sep 2012 11:50 |
