The Swan is situated in a pedestrianised area of the town centre opposite the town hall. It is open early for breakfast. The single bar is nice to relax a while in. Three Bewdley beers were on - Worcestershire Sway, Worcestershire Way & Sir Keith Park, in addition to Jennings Cumerland Ale & Sharps Atlantic. Cider was Cheddar Valley. A good option if touring the town's pubs. blue_scrumpy - 18 Jul 2016 18:24 |
Bit of a run down doss house kind of place. Only one ale was on and as no one else was drinking it I plumped for the lager. I never used to think that K'minster was such a run down, shabby kind of town. I suppose most visitors don't venture in to the town centre. anonymous - 31 Mar 2016 22:40 |
Used to be a mad place - furniture all moved out for discos, with full on lighting. Seems to have reinvented itself as a real ale pub. Three on my side of the bar, there may have been different ones on the other side. I went for a Golden Sheep - being a massive fan of Black Sheep brewery. The beer was in perfect condition but not to my palette. I'm sure it was the way it was meant to be - will have to come back and check out others. Mappiman - 18 Dec 2015 10:28 |
i personally find this pub great, it has a great atmosphere and its very welcoming. the dj, (aka my dad) does not only have 1 minidisc but plays what is requested which is sometimes may be a bit repetetive but this is becuase this pub has regulars that visit every week. the only complaint i have is the fact the manager got rid of the childs license. hollybol20 - 14 Oct 2008 19:56 |
Best to go Friday nights (instead of Saturdays) when it's not too crowded, and the 2 'doormen' don't grandstand by making punters queue for ages outside when there's obviously loads of room inside. Frequent the pub a few weekends in a row and you'll soon realise the disco is always the same and thus very predictable; the DJ probably only has the one minidisc!! If the weathers okay you can easily avoid the music out in the garden with the smokers. The beer is relatively expensive, with no variation in choice and often poorly kept (far too cold). Food however during the day is very good. Garthrockett - 28 Aug 2008 18:32 |
