please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I've eaten and drunk at The Swan a number of times since it has been under new ownership and I have to say it has been excellent every time. The staff and service is always excellent and the food & drink have been first rate. BikerBill, I'm not sure where you drink but everywhere I've drunk has always charged more for 2 halves than for a pint. Just as the cost of 6 single cans of coke is more expensive than a 6 pack in Tesco! tinyboy99 - 30 Mar 2012 14:35 |
Ignore any reviews prior to 2012 as the Swan is now under new ownership. It seems to be putting itself forward as a cheaper alternative to the Interchange Hotel for businessmen staying overnight. As a pub it is a bit lacking in atmosphere but had a very good pint of Wychwood Dirty Tackle on the night I visited, and under the three pound mark at two ninety five. The only sour note came when I finished off with a half, gave the barmaid one pound fifty and was told that it was not enough. Under three pounds for a pint but one pound seventy five for a half - a twenty five pence premium for having an extra half. If they do this, then what other dodges do they get up to? I will not post my comments on here regarding this establishment as they would be far from positive. Beer choice and range moderate. Does anyone know what Brewery this establishment falls under please? paul2009 - 1 Jan 2009 11:36 |
OK ...in the process of being sold needs some TLC but the people/staff are nice enough.... anonymous - 29 Jun 2007 21:18 |
