This pub has recently been redecorated, re staffed & new management. New Chef who is fantastic! Bit of a wait but all food is freshly made nothing frozen at all. Children welcome in the public bar with adults until 8pm, entertaiment is on every Saturday. I even took my kids to the haloween party which was fab, and have now booked them on the Christmas one. Lovely modern pub, lovely food & lovely staff R8CHYF - 6 Dec 2009 16:21 |
This is almost an estate pub but in a fairly posh area. Its one of those custom built one storey type of places with no character. Theres a vestibule area as you enter with the toilets to the left, this is a shame as the whole area smells of piss and needs a good cleaning. To the left is a large lounge to lots of dining style tables and chairs along with a number of red leather look seating areas that are beginning to look a bit shabby. Theres also a fake fireplace and a quiz machine and a couple of small TV screen. Last Friday there was evidence all over the lounge of an untethered brat, and look there she is, 3 years old and sat on a bar stool at the bar!! The is a tap room to the rear with a dartboard and pool table. There are two handpumps on the bar selling TT Landlord and Copper Dragon Best. I had a Copper Dragon which was OK but not as well kept as at the Wine Press just up the road. Its OK but I wouldnt want it as my local. ROBCamra - 11 Sep 2009 14:55 |
