When I was much younger this pub was called The Beach and a good friend of mine used to work here. After a relatively short time as Millers it is now called The Beach again. I would add it to the pub changes section in the forums, but whats the point, they never get actioned anyway. This is now a really poor place. Its another one of those pubs for people who dont like pubs. Its all one huge room really, but its sectioned off so that it looks like several rooms. Theres a large conservatory at the back which would have good views of Hollingworth Lake if it didnt have a kiddies play area in the way. The floor as you enter and round the bar is old stone but was wet in several patches when we went and it wasnt even raining. Theres no real ale of course and even the Becks is a bit pricey. It majors on food, but sadly its all bought in plastic stuff. Theres no reason to ever go in here. ROBCamra - 11 Sep 2009 14:42 |
