one of the better pubs in edgeley let down by dire toilet facilities frequent shortages of key beers. which land lord worh there salt would let carling run out on a weekly basis?? also bar staff spend more time chatting and messing about making a long wait at the bar a regular occurance. has recently had a partial refurb lets hope this extends to the toilets sooner eather than later. overall still your second best option in edgeley the Armoury being first. pub has plenty of pottential if only the landlord would get his act together, shame to see a good pub going to waste. iluvthepub - 9 Dec 2010 19:18 |
I have to say I really like this pub and its become my local now. The landlord runs the place very well and efficiently and it really is a very busy pub most of the time. Always summet going on, either entertainment most weekends friday and saturdays, and then quiz/curry night mid week. Sunday dinners are delicious and very very good quality ingredients used, no processed rubbish. Really good daily menu and decent prices. Beer prices are very competetive too. usually get served within seconds at this bar. Great family pub too. Plenty of room in pub, nice beer garden. Lots of tellys for footy which is always on. Nice customers, Nice staff. 10/10. :-) Catess76 - 10 May 2010 11:20 |
This was once a good local pub. A change of landlord to a young arrogant man with many dubious friends has created a bad atmosphere. Locks ins are the norm and older locals feel unwelcome. It is also uncomfortble when some of the punters appear to have consumed more than just drink. renny - 4 Jun 2009 22:41 |
Not a bad pub, Boddingtons on tap, not a bad choice of ale, always busy on matchdays with a fairly steady service, small garden to the side. Landlord doesn't seem very keen on having lots of football fans in his pub which makes me wonder why he runs the place! Rude on several occasions. ToxtethOGrady - 20 May 2008 23:40 |
Great pub and freindly staff. Definetly try Joey's bitter. AdamE - 16 Nov 2006 16:53 |
