My final pub in Stockport took me to the Edgeley area of the town. This pub has limited opening hours. But being near to the football ground, it does open when Stockport are playing at home. They were nearing the end of their match on my visit. But the pub was quiet. It's a small corner pub with a bit of character and friendly staff. The ale selection was varied - Salopian Luna, Mallinson's Ekka, Hopcraft Queen Anne's Revenge & Mad Dog Stouty McStout Face. There are also two real ciders, which were Lilley's Sunset & Cotswold Cider Company No Brainer. The game finished and still nobody came in! But I had a train to catch, in any case.

Visited on a Friday night after much hype from friends. The beer selection available that evening didn't blow me away as expected from the hype. Good, decent real ale but a bit of a disappointment to find I believe it was 4 casks compared to what's available in the Crown.

The Bollington ale was good quality but that was the only brewery available I hold in regard. It was definitely interesting to visit as the inside is far better that the front visually and if you include the outside area at the back a much bigger place than suggested from the front.

I wouldn't be against going back in but we aren't ones who like to sit at the bar and chat to strangers and therefore felt a little awkward and we didn't want to stay for more than one. Also we did get a bit of a scolding from the landlord upon leaving, because we had not taken our glasses back to the bar.

Will be a while before we go back.

Worst pub in Stockport. Totally run down inside and out. Landlord very rude and arrogant unless you are a regular one of those places where if your face doesnt fit. Real shame as fo few real ale pubs around in Stockport now. Has the potential to be a great little pub as it once was but is being left to go to wrack and ruin real shame..

It would appear this place spends more time CLOSED than open.
A reason to mark down in my book.
