Not a bad pub but certainly not a great pub. It's tardis like interior was more impressive than the short stay itself for a quiet pint. paddy_wax - 18 Apr 2016 12:31 |
Used to use this pub regularly but never go in now. One reason only. EVERY pint they pull is extremely short measure. This is not just mine. I do mean EVERY pint. It appears to be a deliberate policy. They will usually top up but with bad grace. I am now so fed up with complaining I go elsewhere. I have written a letter of complaint to the brewery to which they didn't bother to reply. bitterbitterdrinker - 22 May 2014 17:37 |
Nice welcome from Barman( Tad I think). Fire and comfort lovely! Beer, not as good as the price tag would imply!! Better Shep's available (Bear, Crown and Anchor, Alma) in my humble opinion. Has the potential to be really good, but to cliquy by far and the general behaviour of some of the so called clientele left a lot to be desired. If people want to shout and swear like they are at a football match.......GO TO A FOOTBALL MATCH. Martinlikesapint - 18 Mar 2014 01:30 |
Smashing place. Great fire and good food. 4 Sheps Ale's on offer!! martins2 - 19 Oct 2012 17:31 |
I had the burger, Mrs S had the ploughman's, both of which were very good. The ale was well kept - Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition (brewed by Sheps) and the service unobtrusive but efficient. skatalite - 16 Jul 2012 20:42 |
