| Mousefan's observations still hold good. My wife, daughter and daughters boyfriend and I had a very enjoyable Friday evening in the George , the week after New Year. Very friendly in both bars and relaxed, but the service and quality of food was excellent. We were spoilt for choice with the menu, but all dishes were very much enjoyed. The lad behind the bar was friendly and helpful, but efficient as well. As for ales, I tried the Hunters Gold and Teignworthy Springtide, both of which were excellent. | Nice friendly atmosphere with good Jail Ale. Stayed in a room over the pub which was clean, comfy and good value. The landlady was really accomodating and the staff and locals made us feel welcome. Grabber - 11 May 2010 07:10 |
