Actually ate there with the missus this time. Both food and ale were good.

Really a restaurant, the very small bar area and two stools are usually occupied by people waiting to their table. Beer fine but not really somewhere to go for a drink

Stopped overnight at the farm campsite next door in our motorhome, and popped in here on the walk back from the town.Strange little place, very food orientated, but with a small bar with a couple of bar-stools.(Thats my gert sorted then)Didn't eat as we had already done so,but the place was very busy early doors so the food must be good. The Blythes Bagots Bitter at 2.50 is absolutely spot- on,not one I'm familar with, but one of the best pale beers I have tasted in a long time.Ended up having 3 pints of it and will be back, might even buy a meal next time.Very friendly owners and staff as well.

Nipped in again for a swift pint while waiting for a train. Tried the Palmer's Poison this time which was an excellent pint. Still primarily an eating house though.

Primarily a restaurant, to the extent in fact that there were only two bar stools and an armchair near the toilet door for drinkers to inhabit. The beer was top notch though (Blythe's Bagot Bitter - they also had Palmer's Poison on). May consider it to eat at some time but for drinkers it is only really somewhere to nip for a quick pint while waiting on train (the station is just across the road).
