Only Proper Job and Otter Bitter, third pump not used. Meals below average price. Well presented on plate. fugglehops - 23 Jul 2017 19:04 |
We only found this pub as we drove back from Teignmouth to Torquay around 7pm on a sunday evening, but what a find! Pub is tucked away through tiny roads on a green which has a bowling green in the middle, and is one street back from the Estuary. Contemporary interior with friendly staff and locals, and a very forward thinking landlord. Food was fantastic (and, unusually serves all day sunday). Beers were St.Austell Proper Job, Dartmoor Jail ale and Otter Bitter. Outdoor seating on front near bowling green. Give it a go.. Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 2 Aug 2014 16:52 |
I only popped in for a quick pint one afternoon but found this a very welcoming pub. Perhaps a little overly-modernised for my personal tastes but the beer was spot-on, friendly greeting from the landlady and chatty regulars. I had a pint of one the Otter Brewery's seasonal specials which wasn't overpriced and enjoyed it sitting out front overlooking the village green. Food looked good and reasonably priced too. johnthechef - 11 Nov 2013 15:53 |
Very expensive Heavitree house pub. The inside is fairly cosy and it does have a small beer garden out the front. I doubt whether i would come here again though. 5/10 montie49 - 14 Feb 2013 08:11 |
Friendly two room pub with extra seating in the small garden outside. The later having nice views across the green. Pool table in the corner, but well tucked away from all the tables. Dart board looked well used as well. Beers from the Otter range, including the 3.6% version for us drivers. Well kept and the Mrs. enjoyed the shandy. Good range of food on the menu supplemented by specials on the black board. Was very quiet when we visited yesterday, but I suspect it gets very busy in the season. Well worth a visit. captaineric - 20 Nov 2012 12:46 |
