Here again, but with grandchildren, so appreciated the good weather while they enjoyed using the play facilities away from the bars (not to disturb the punters) but close enough to the beer garden. Cotleigh's Golden Seahawk on tap was OK but switched to St Austell's Proper Job. The pub's exterior belies its 17th century beginnings. Food was fine and good value. brianagain - 29 Jul 2012 22:43 |
Called in here on the Somerset CAMRA pub trail. Its just a run of the mill pub. Nothing special, nothing particularly bad either. The beer was acceptable, nothing more. the service adequate but no more than that. cellarbuoy - 10 May 2012 20:35 |
Plain exterior, but much better on the inside. Two beers on offer (Butcombe and Plastered Pheasant from Quantock Brewery) plus Thatchers cider. The lunchtime meal was good value and all the better for beng washed down with the tasty winter offering from Quantock. brianagain - 27 Jan 2011 21:33 |
The Nags Head Tavern, Taunton - pub details If you search the above, you'll find this place has two entries. (The other one is not so good as this one!) The_Final_Arbiter - 1 Jul 2010 10:48 |
Had been for a walk and dropped in early doors for a quick pint whilst waiting for the bus home. Nice friendly atmosphere - several local farmers were having a drink. Friendly barmaid, decent beer. martyngs - 1 Jul 2010 07:03 |
