Changes it's name to "The Far Canal" a few months back. Gone back to just being another tired old pub on a tired old street. beggarsbanquet - 6 Nov 2014 22:12 |
Don't give me that Heavy Fandango, your secret's safe with me lol!!! beggarsbanquet - 13 Jul 2013 17:27 |
I wouldn't know a Spoons drinker if I saw one. The_Heavy_Fandango - 9 Jul 2013 11:09 |
Have to disagree to an extent on the previous review. Although never having eaten under it's current Jolies restaurant, when I've popped in for a drink the staff are now excellent and polite when I have experienced them recently and wouldn't think twice about a pint there unlike under the previous managers. Shocked at £10 for 3 pints??? Well that's Spoons drinkers for you... beggarsbanquet - 30 Jun 2013 17:37 |
Three of us went here on Saturday 12th. Two of us had Otter, and the other had some Spanish lager. We looked at the menu, as we had thought of having lunch, but on seeing the extortionate prices they expected us to pay we decided to go. It's pretentious, with untrained incompetent staff, and the two who had the Otter bitter are still suffering the aftereffects of it. (Not the price, but obviously some health hazard incurred by drinking it) £10 for three pints? A joke. Avoid at all costs. The_Heavy_Fandango - 11 Jun 2013 15:31 |
