| Been here 3 times. First time they served Guinness that tasted like vinegar. When I told the barman, his response was "other people are drinking it" and he walked away, leaving me with my crap pint. Both other times weren't great either as the beer tasted tangy and the staff weren't bothered. I also had the same problem as tartar and his wife of the staff ignoring me to serve the regulars. | Went to the Woolpack this evening, saw a notice by the door that there was an option for a meal and a drink at a reduced price. Went to the bar and ordered drinks and told the barmaid that we intended to dine. At no time did she inform us of our options, but asked if we would like five minutes to look at the menu. She than charged me full price for the drinks. My wife went to the bar to order food, and because she was gone a long time, I started to observe what was going on. My wife was standing right next to a till, and I even saw the young girl look at my wife once. Saw some young lads come in (maybe pool players), and the young girl served them immediately, completely ignoring my wife. We left, never to darken their door again, having explained the error of their ways, but I expect it had no effect at all. tartar - 3 Jul 2011 19:21 |
