I really cannot praise this pub enough… If you read my earlier review you will see I was already smitten, and after a further two night stay in May 2017 I can report it is just as good. 7 real ales as always; This time Thornbridge Jaipur & kipling, Morland Old Speckled Hen, The Poynton Brewery (Stockport) Hoppy Daze IPA, Thwaites Wainwright, Joseph Holt Bitter & Hobgoblin. The beer choice alone is worth a visit, but together with great staff, landlord and locals, location, food, rooms, entertainment and of course the amazing second floor indian Restaurant Queen Spice you get an amazing pub. On both visits we have spent at least one afternoon sat watching footy with the locals (this time play off final Huddersfield v Reading), and there is always good Banter. Most locals are Mancs (of either the Blue or Red persuasion), But as a Leicester City die-hard I can always hold my head up high!

Nice pint of Old speckled hen. The bar lady was friendly as well and seemed interested about using coming over to hike the hills nearby. Good place to start a pub crawl from here towards Glossop centre. Great town with friendly locals and great pubs overall.

In an era when more pubs are shutting than opening, I was pleased to find on a recent visit to Glossop that the pubs that survive (and indeed flourish) can often be of the highest standards… The Queens arms gets 10/10 (only the second time I have scored a pub this highly). We stayed the night in one of the 6 rooms on the top floor. The room was beautifully decorated to a high standard, and whilst not cheap was good value for money. Breakfast is taken in the pub and full English was spot on, along with lots of cereals, fruits etc… The pub caters for all clientele; on our visit there were families, drinkers, couples, Sat afternoon footy watchers on a couple of TV's all very friendly and content. The Beer choice was second to none. I was immediately happy when I saw Thornbridge Jaipur, but even better they had two more Thornbridge beers, Jaywick IPA & the excellent Kipling. These along with Robinsons Unicorn, Joseph Holt Bitter, Speckled Hen & Thwaites Wainwright gave a "spoons" choice of beer. Now another really clever idea; The pub lets the second floor as an Indian restaurant called Queen Spice. You enter a beautiful restaurant through an innocuous looking door that (feels a bit like the tardis, as the restaurant can probably seat around 40 people).... The restaurant was packed and food to a really high standard. Live Groups some nights... Just an excellent pub in a nice part of the world...

Visited The Queens Arms last night. This is a comfortable pub in the style of a modern country inn, with slate floor and roaring log fires. Five real ales were on offer including the excellent Thornbridge Jaipur IPA at a bargain £3.00 per pint. Well recommended.

This pub has added to its range of draught beers, I used to stick to the John Smiths smooth or Guinness, both of which were always on great form, both with a rich smooth, creamy head. They've now added the excellent Coors Light which is one of the most refreshing beers I've tasted. The pub also now has it's own Indian restaurant upstairs.
