What an excellent pub. The food was first class and staff very helpful. I reccomend the malbec - good value and perfect with the beef. Been going in this pub since Paul took over and its always been top notch so not sure what the last reviewer was smoking, but ignore him :-) FinnsDad - 2 Dec 2011 12:18 |
Went recently. This pub restaurant has been very up and down in its various guises but this is the worst. Food was ok nothing more portion sizes very small. staff vague at best and length of service terrible. Dont bother!! guyartall - 13 Nov 2011 07:18 |
Had an absolutely superb Sunday lunch here today - roast pork was divine, and my partner's beef was apparently also excellent. We ordered bread & butter pudding with ginger cream for pudding which my OH initially turned his nose up, but when it arrived, he was soon eating his words (and my pudding - boom boom...). 2 courses was 14.95, and 3 19.95 I think, which is good VFM in my book. Will definitely be back. kitty6666 - 1 Nov 2010 00:26 |
Recently refurbished, retaining the character of course. Small car park. Mainly a restaurant but retains a nice, small inglenook bar/lounge. Nice staff. A handful of ales, well kept and reasonably priced. Unobtrusive music. Decent clientele and a discreet atmosphere. Didn't try the food. Worth a visit. kentgoldings - 7 Jun 2010 20:50 |
Worth a detour - set back off the main road, here is freshly cooked food which tastes great and is good value for money. The homemade ice-creams are delicious!! jooliona - 2 Sep 2009 09:00 |
