| Weird one, this. The food is good but half the time the kitchen is closed. The service behind the bar is terrible - takes about 2,000 years to get service when there's more than 3 punters in there. The beer is ok. Reasonable range - does serve Aspells cider though which is always a plus point. Could do with better bar staff (although they do try hard, it seems) and slightly better organisation and it'd be really good. | We moved to Hoo two years ago and this was one of the first pubs we went to and had a meal. The food was really nice and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. Recently though there has been a change in management and the food has gone right downhill. My brother ordered Ham, Egg and Chips and when it came the ham was grey and smelt terrible. He was asked if he wanted another plate of the same meal but by then he had gone right off of the idea of a meal and refused and we got his part of the meal comped, although I must say that I had a dodgy stomach that same night and I had ordered the chicken kiev. Also the staff aren't that great and seem to ignore you most of the time while they flit around trying to look pretty. weas3l - 18 Jun 2009 16:23 |
