Excellent. Food, drinks, service, prices all very good. John and Helena johncuth - 12 Jun 2011 13:10 |
Poor food, so don't eat here! Probably cooked by teenagers judging by the standard - in microwaves! However, there's a good range of drinks priced very reasonably and the decor is very nice. Cosy in the winter, especially when the fire is going. Small garden at the front with views of the downs, but as this pub is situated on a busy junction, probably not the most relaxing location to enjoy a pint. sara_lou_82 - 21 May 2010 10:19 |
This is a "Vintage Inn", so the standard company menu rules. But, at the moment, they have got some good deals going, and the food is pretty good too. The beers on the pumps, when we visited, were London Pride, Brains Bitter and Spitfire. I will say one thing about the Vintage Inns that I have visited; they really keep their beers in excellent condition. The Travellers rest is NOT an exception. The Spitfire was spot on. Shame about the location, the garden is next to a double roundabout. Not the fault of the Pub, the building was there first. Phantom_Pigeon - 19 Aug 2009 10:58 |
Great pub, friendly staff, good food and service. I've been there 3 times in the last few months with a variety of friends and we've all had a really enjoyable time. Steaks have always been cooked perfectly and the sticky toffee and date pudding is delicious! Ribeye - 6 Jul 2009 11:00 |
Great pub/restaurant. Have eaten here a few times, and although a chain (check out the Flying Fox on the A5) this pub is superior by far to its brothers and sisters. Great food, friendly staff, and loveley decor inside. Highly recommended drib - 7 Mar 2009 17:11 |
