| A lovely find. Four of us enjoyed dinner on the Saturday night after New Year at the Fortesque Arms. A varied menu offered plenty of choice and the quality was excellent. My daughter described her steak as one of the best she had tasted. We tried the two Dartmoor ales that were on - Legend and Dragon's Breath - and they were both in great condition (if my memory is correct, they also had Doom Bar on). The service was attentive, but friendly and they were happy to let us use the lounge area , with a nice fire going, even though we had a dog with us. | The Fortescue Arms is now under new ownership since 27/05/2011. I would like to think that Arctium lappa if passing through again would like to re visit the Fortescue again and find that the staff are really friendly and helpful. | Smart pub with lots of people eating on a weekday evening. The beers were very well kept and the food was varied, with something for most tastes.
