Still a good pub, and no complaint beer wise... Just one comment on food; staff were totally lost when my wife asked for an ingredients list to check for allergens (Gluten in this case)... Barman advised chips were gluten free, but were actually cooked in same oil as other things, and that batter was gluten free! Eventually a more knowledgeable member of staff set us right. I like the pub, and will definitely go back. The comment above is just a heads up if required. Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 11 Apr 2016 21:32 |
location, location, location. on a sunny day smashing for a pint or three. I did not eat, but lots of others were tucking in, and no complaints ( I was doing some mass observation) I think I was drinking Cornish rattler, I certainly stayed for about 3 hours. Forgot to mention, beers were Tribute, Proper Job and Trelawny... Food was excellant, but watch for seagulls if you eat up on the terrace! Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 26 Jul 2014 15:32 |
Whats not to like.. The view of Sennen Cove / Whitesand Bay from the wooden terrace is as good as any in England on a nice day. We got plenty of sun on 14th July 2014. My only complaint was lack of surf earlier in the day, which I cant really blame on the pub! Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 26 Jul 2014 15:30 |
Stunning view of Sennen Cove / Whitesand Bay from the wooden terrace area, up the steep steps past the Gents Toilet. We were lucky enough to have plenty of sunshine on our visit on Friday 5th October, which makes it an even more relaxing spot to sit and drink. As others have said, it does come at a cost. 3.90 for Cornish Rattler and I don't think Tribute was much cheaper. But still a must visit for the view. Pat_Bateman - 22 Oct 2012 11:55 |
