Vastly over rated in my opinion.

I only stayed for about 15 minutes, as the staff made no effort to keep the 2 pub dogs away from my dog.

Two dogs pestering a dog on it's lead ... could have gotten nasty.

The Red Lion, Freshwater

This is a cracking old style pub with flagstone floors etc.

The lovely beer garden out back has a real countryside feel to it.

There's not much else in Freshwater Bay, so, if you find yourself in the area, I strongly recommend a visit to The Red Lion.

I didn't find a better pub on the Island.

Wight Mouse Inn, Chale

Has the feel of a glorified Wetherspoons.

Quite a nice old style interior, ruined by fruit machines.

Worth a visit if passing for the massive beer garden.
