Came to this pub almost by mistake as the one down the road had stopped serving food.
Very friendly staff, food was very good, and though slightly high, still very reasonable. Nice atmosphere (Saturday about 230), will definately go back.

this pub is what pubs are all about,,,,friendly happy atmoshpere,,with a landlady trying her hardest in a rural community.
Jane goes out of her way to try and accomadate everyone whilst not suffering fools gladly, in these hard times,,,she runs a good pub. glad I visited.

I'm not sure annoymous 12 was in the same pub during the fireworks although there were a couple of women drinking at the bar whilst they allowed there children to run riot through the pub completely unmanaged. It couldnt be the same people ? ( could it ? ).
My family had a thoroughly enjoyable night at the fireworks and my children also ate from the bbq and was served by a very nice man and I must admit not drunk at all.
I have visited the pub since and enjoyed the company within and the pleasant atmosphere generated from the new landlady.
Good luck to the landlady as the pub has improved cosidrably since she took over.

I have recently visited this pub with a group of friends, we found the landlady and staff very friendly and instantly felt very welcome. We also attended on the recent firework night and I haven't a clue what anonymous12 is going on about (I think they must have the wrong Jolly Farmer) The fireworks were out of this world and the cheers that went up after they were finished I think proves this. The food was great, just what you need on a cold night and all the staff worked very hard to make it a great evening. I will defiantly be returning to this pub and I pretty sure all my friends will be too
