Its open now. Pleasant looking pub, covered in hanging baskets and plenty of signs for forthcoming attractions.

Decent pint of Wye Valley HPA and a very good jukebox.

Good pub.

This pub has been closed for a few months now. However yesterday I walked past it. It was a hot day, the door was open and it was open for business again. I didn't go in as I had just been to the Prince of Wales so I cannot offer an opinion but I do wish the new management all the best.

Looked very closed today unless they keep all the curtains closed during daylight hours.

could do a lot worse. nice and small (cosy) pub with firendly barmaid and friendly locals.

As a local resident with bar experience, I have to say that this pub ticks all the boxes on my checklist:
Clean and tidy - tick
Decently priced, HOT food - tick
Staff who are not robots - tick

I think there is a culture where many customers think that the word 'No' equals rudeness. The word is there for there to be an enjoyable experience across a variety of customers for example, the safety of the customers (especially regarding children) due to the size and layout of the pub as well as so different demographics of people can visit (I.e.the volume and genres of music on the jukebox). I am a film believer that this pub is part of a sadly dying group of locally owned businesses, and should be celebrated for it's idiosyncratic character. After all, we wouldn't want it to just be another chain would we? I say embrace a pub with a personality!!
