As a local resident with bar experience, I have to say that this pub ticks all the boxes on my checklist: Clean and tidy - tick Decently priced, HOT food - tick Staff who are not robots - tick
I think there is a culture where many customers think that the word 'No' equals rudeness. The word is there for there to be an enjoyable experience across a variety of customers for example, the safety of the customers (especially regarding children) due to the size and layout of the pub as well as so different demographics of people can visit (I.e.the volume and genres of music on the jukebox). I am a film believer that this pub is part of a sadly dying group of locally owned businesses, and should be celebrated for it's idiosyncratic character. After all, we wouldn't want it to just be another chain would we? I say embrace a pub with a personality!!
