Just a quick note to say the pub has re-opened as the Old Elm Tree. Its now a resturant. The staff not very friendly and after one visit decided that they did not want people who were just going to drink at the bar and considering its the nearest pub to me I will be walking past to one of the other puba in the village. Closed September 2009 it was supposed to become an Indian resturant but now just sitting empty with boarded up windows. Another local pub bites the dust. CambridgeBlue - 6 Oct 2009 08:17 |
October and a temp manager. Much better atmosphere and beers also much better than they have been for a long time. Food only served at lunchtimes which is not so good as we used to eat evening meals here a lot before it all changed back in May. CambridgeBlue - 27 Oct 2008 14:12 |
New licensee from today. Fingers are tightly crossed! 79Thatcherite - 10 Oct 2008 12:21 |
September 2008. Sad to say another great village pub ruined. Food not very good unless you just want a bar snack of Burgers or Jackets. Ales up and down in quality and some of the hand pumps have been replaced with those tall chrome freezing cold lager taps. Beer price increased again. There are better pub choices within a few minutes walk. CambridgeBlue - 17 Sep 2008 15:00 |
