| This pub is exactly as the name suggests.. A large inn with a rustic, hearty feel, perfect for few pints and a bite to eat after plenty of fresh air in Hardy country. The inn also has 10 bedrooms and is dog friendly (including accommodation). Beers were Ringwood Razor back, Rockin Rudolph, sharps Doom bar and a Countryman special brewed at a local brewery. | When we arrived many of the dishes on the blackboard had sold out stickers on them. That's fine but the chap who took our order then returned twice to tell us various items we'd ordered were also sold out despite not having a sticker. Dirty plates were never taken away even though we were there over an hour, and we had to ask twice before they remembered the kids ice cream. shaggoth - 27 Aug 2012 17:59 |
| We have just spent a weekend in the area with our local cricket team on tour. We spent 2 evenings in The Countryman in East Knighton. They could not have been friendlier, the beer was good, food fine. They even put free food on for the team and families and a band both evenings.
